Yelawolf was born on 30th December in Gadsden, situated in Alabama. His mother was only 15 years old when she gave birth to him. He idolizes his mom a lot and often called her a rock star. He spent a large part of his childhood in Antioch situated in Tennessee, but for the significant part of his childhood, they traveled a lot.
He first became fond of the hip-hop while he was studying at the Carter Lawrence Elementary School located in Nashville. The first two singles from Trial by Fire, "Daylight" and "Shadows" featuring country singer Joshua Headley were released in late In order to support Trial By Fire, a tour was announced on July 18, and was due to run from October 13 to December 4.
