What spells are there in terraria

There are some great magic weapons from almost the very start of your Journey into Terraria. Here are three of our favorites to search for at the start of the game.

The Wand of Sparking is a fantastic early magic weapon, especially if you're going for a mage-only run through Terraria. The Magic Missile is a great weapon that allows for close control of your projectile, though it is easier to use with a keyboard and mouse than a controller. The Flower of Fire is arguably the most powerful magic weapon pre-Hardmode, with a total damage output of 48 and a bouncing projectile that can hit multiple targets with a single shot.

You also shouldn't overlook the Space Gun. Crafted with Meteorite Bars, if you wear a full set of Meteor Armor you can fire the Space Gun constantly without your mana dropping. It's an excellent weapon to take into Hardmode and works well during the Wall of Flesh boss fight. It's during the Hardmode that you can really start to experiment with your magic build.

The variety is pretty massive, with magic guns , spell tomes , and different staffs. Magic weapons shouldn't just be based on their damage output, but on their usefulness in certain boss fights, and how easy they are to use.

Here's a look at some of the best magic weapons to use in Hardmode, in no particular order. The Razorpine is a powerful magic weapon with potentially the highest damage output in the game for the class, mostly because its projectiles are fired so rapidly. If you liked the Space Gun, you'll like the Laser Machinegun. Takes a couple of seconds to wind up, but can deal big, big damage. The Nimbus Rod is hands-down one of the best magic weapons in the game.

Place a cloud and let it rain on your enemies - great for dealing with slow-moving bosses, or the segmented Destroyer. The Toxic Flask is very useful for killing swarms of enemies, particularly in invasion events like the Martian Invasion. Its clouds last for a while when thrown.

The Wasp Gun features on this list because we're a big fan of the Bee Gun. Except this weapon fires Wasps, and they're a lot angrier. Report bugs here. Journey's End on Xbox and PlayStation!
